Learners must complete all 6 mandatory units named below:

  1. Provide manicure treatments (UV20470)
  2. Provide pedicure treatments (UV20471)
  3. Apply and maintain nail enhancements (UV30405)
  4. Client care and communication in beauty-related industries (UV30468)
  5. Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon (UV30491)
  6. Maintaining personal health and wellbeing (UV30493)

Learners must also complete 3 optional units from below:

  1. Display stock to promote sales in a salon (UV20490)
  2. Promote products and services to clients in a salon (UV20492)
  3. Airbrush designs for nails (UV30407)
  4. Enhance nails using electric files (UV30429)
  5. Design and apply nail art (UV30476)

 

Entry Criteria:

Age: 16 +

Entry profile:

  • Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and/or a successful skills test and interview

Progression Routes:

This qualification will prepare you for employment as a nail technician. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance as a nail technician. Career opportunities as a nail technician exist in a variety of contexts, including:

  • Working in a commercial nail salon
  • Working in a retail concession 'nail bar'
  • Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings

Course Fees: £3,345.00

Option 2: Instalment Plan
Secure your place with a deposit, pay your balance via monthly instalments spread across the course length. Please be aware there is a 10% instalment fee applicable to this option.

Option 3:  19+ Advanced Learner Loan (Student Loan)
You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of your course. Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.
