NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care

This NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a lead adult care worker role in care settings. It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health and social care procedures.

This qualification aims to:

  • focus on the study of the adult care worker role in care settings
  • offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge
  • provide opportunities to acquire a number of practical and technical skills

The objectives of this qualification are to:

  • build knowledge and skills to work in adult care in health and social care settings in England
  • cover a wide range of areas allowing learners to tailor the qualification to meet their needs, interests, preferred progression paths and the context of their job role

Course Details

Duration: 6 Months

Credits: 58

Units:

Learners are required to successfully achieve 39 credits from the mandatory units and a minimum of 19 credits from the optional units. At least 35 credits must be achieved at level 3 or above..

  3. Promote own continuous personal and professional development
  4. Person-centred practice, choice and independence
  5. Understand how to promote personal wellbeing
  6. Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights in care settings
  7. Promote health and safety in care settings
  8. Support the health and wellbeing of individuals in a care setting
  9. Scope and responsibilities of an adult care worker
  10. Understand duty of care
  11. Understand how to safeguard individuals
  12. Understand mental capacity and restrictive practices
  13. Infection prevention and control in a care setting

Entry Criteria:

Age: 16 +

Learners must have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments.

Progression Routes:

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to the following:

  • employment: lead adult care worker, senior care support worker, lead personal assistant
  • further education: Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England)
  • higher education

Course Fees: £2,882.00

Option 2: Instalment Plan
Secure your place with a deposit, pay your balance via monthly instalments spread across the course length. Please be aware there is a 10% instalment fee applicable to this option.

Option 3:  19+ Advanced Learner Loan (Student Loan)
You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of your course. Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.
