If the answer is Yes to the above…. Then the Hounslow Tech Careers Camp could be your start to a new career.

Hounslow Tech Careers Camp (HTCC) is open to Hounslow residents who have an interest in Tech and want to pursue a career with a Tech theme. It is innovative pre-employment training offering a mix of interventions that will guide participants into Tech related employment.

Work Placements/Volunteering will provide the opportunity for additional skills development and an up to date reference that will help participants to gain full-time employment going into the future.

Careers Camp: Participants work with employers on a one day career camp to complete an assignment related to the employer’s business needs. Undertaken in teams, participant’s brain-storm ideas and are then supported to turn the idea into a real world product e.g. mobile apps.

Jobsearch Strategies: Provides participants with the tools to effectively market themselves to perspective employers e.g. professional CV, labour market analysis, interview preparation, sector research, social media.

ICT for Employment Level 1: How ICT is used in the place of work. Looks at both computers and other technology commonly found in the place of work and explores the skills needed to use these.

Functional Skills: Entry Level 1 through to Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in English and/or Maths will equip participants with practical skills required in everyday life and the workplace.

Employability Skills: The development of essential work skills e.g. using initiative, assertiveness, problem solving.

Employment Expo: A high-profile Tech Employment Expo will bring together participants and employers from the digital, media, tech and creative sectors.
